Friday, February 6th
- Social Studies test went home today. Please sign and return Monday. The retest will be on Wednesday, February 10th at lunch time.
- Update on the Valentine Party: It will be on Thursday, February 12th since Friday is a Professional Learning Day for teachers. We will begin at 12:50, pause for gym class from 1:15-1:55 and then continue last period. The rest of the information will remain the same. Please see below. :)
We will have the Valentines day celebration on Friday, February 13th at 1:30. Please check and see if you signed up to send something. We also have some openings if you are interested in helping out. :) You can click on the more button above and then special activities.
Also, we will be decorating Valentine envelopes that morning. Or, your child can bring a small box to decorate instead. If you have anything you would like to donate for this purpose, we would love to have it... stickers, glitter glue, stamps, puffy letters, paper hearts etc... that would be wonderful!!!!
Lastly, we do not send home lists of names anymore for privacy purposes, so if your child is unsure of their classmates names, they can make their own lists at lunchtime during the week. :)
Thanks!

Your child is bringing home a list of ideas for special events in their lives. They were asked to copy 12 ideas from the board. I attached a picture of these ideas in case the ones they chose, you aren't able to help them with. They need to know the day, month and year that these events occurred in their lives. I did explain to them that if you know approximately what month and year, you can "guess" the actual day. :)
This assignment is due on Friday, January 16th. Thanks for your support!

Library Volunteers!!!
We have a mother who is our regular library reader, however she is unavailable for the next three weeks. If you would like to come in and read to our class on a Tuesday afternoon at 2 pm, we need someone on Nov.4th and Nov. 18th. It would only be for 10-15 minutes and the children love to listen to someone other than their teacher read. Volunteers usually read in English.

On Meet the Staff Night, I had forgotten to mention that our Special Snack Days List was posted beside my door. Thanks to the parents that saw it and signed it! :)
If you would like to participate, please send a note on paper (as in please don't write in the agenda) as to what events and which snacks you would be interested in providing. There are 30 slots and 18 students. It would be helpful if you chose several and let me know how many you would be willing to do so that I can place people in slots the best I can. Sorry about this!
I will then place a photo of the filled out form on this page for you to see where I have placed you. As always, if you want to send something extra, that is up to you personally.
Please read the labels on your items before sending them in or include ingredients on homemade items. My own boys have peanut and nut allergies so I appreciate the efforts of all families to keep allergic children safe. :)
Halloween is next Friday so would love to have the form completed ASAP!
Thanks!

Don't forget about Helpful Halloween! Send an item for the food bank in with your child. I always bring in wowbutter for the allergic children or for school lunches.
